Here’s the problem Jeb Corey kept running into: West Virginia has world-class outdoor recreation, but if you’re coming from out of state, getting to all of it is complicated. You need to know which river access point connects to which shuttle, which trailhead parking lots hit capacity by 9 a.m. on a Saturday, which waterfalls are even findable on Google Maps. Jeb spends his weekends off-roading and hiking through some of the state’s best country — and even he sometimes ends up somewhere wondering how far the car is. That’s the gap Link WV is building into.
Launching May 1st, Link WV is a two-part operation: a destination website telling people what West Virginia has to offer, and a transportation service to actually take them there. Pre-programmed tours, bike rack-equipped vehicles for Greenbrier River Trail shuttles, kayak connections, and the last-mile flexibility that small outfitters often can’t provide alone. The flagship move is a partnership with Breeze Airways and Yeager Airport — fly in, step outside, get in a waiting rental UTV, have your luggage taken up ahead. Jeb calls it the first true experiential tourism of its kind in the state. It’s the kind of connective tissue the outdoor economy in West Virginia has been missing.
