Greenbrier River Trail Association
About
The Greenbrier River Trail is one of the longest and most beloved rail-trails in West Virginia — 78 miles of crushed limestone following the Greenbrier River through some of the most scenic terrain in the state. The Greenbrier River Trail Association exists to support, promote, and protect that trail. They're the advocates, the stewards, and the community connectors who ensure this remarkable linear park continues to serve the communities along its length.
The trail passes through Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties, touching communities like Cass, Marlinton, and Caldwell before reaching Lewisburg. For local outfitters, lodging operators, and small businesses along the corridor, the GRT is a genuine economic engine. GRTA's work to keep the trail accessible and well-maintained is inseparable from the outdoor economy it helps sustain.
