Blackwater Bicycle Association (IMBA)
About
The Blackwater Bicycle Association is a volunteer-driven IMBA chapter dedicated to developing and maintaining high-quality mountain biking trails around Canaan Valley, Davis, and Thomas. The organization works closely with land managers and local partners to design sustainable singletrack, organize trail work days, and host community rides that welcome riders of varying skill levels. Its mission is to grow mountain biking in a way that respects the landscape and enhances visitor experience.
By taking responsibility for trail stewardship in one of West Virginia’s flagship outdoor destinations, the Blackwater Bicycle Association helps ensure that riders encounter well-built, thoughtfully maintained routes. This work supports tourism, improves safety, and protects sensitive terrain, making the organization a key partner in the broader outdoor network that Access Appalachia seeks to highlight and connect.
