Blackwater Bicycle Association
About
The Blackwater Bicycle Association has been quietly doing the unglamorous work that makes great mountain biking possible in one of West Virginia's most spectacular landscapes. As the IMBA chapter serving Tucker County and the Canaan Valley area, BBA builds and maintains the trails that draw riders from across the Mid-Atlantic to the Blackwater region — a place where the elevation, the spruce forests, and the sheer variety of terrain put it in a category of its own.
The organization runs on volunteer energy and a genuine love for the place. Trail days, advocacy work, partnerships with public land managers — BBA does the kind of work that rarely gets headlines but makes the difference between trails that are there and trails that are rideable. If you've ever dropped into Canaan Valley and wondered how the singletrack got so good, BBA is a big part of the answer.
